本州から得られており、メス・オスともに通常短翅型だが１メスだけ長翅型が知られている。本種の体色は赤褐色で独特。コナラの倒木の幹から採集された。食菌性。

This species was obtained from Honshu, and both females and males are usually micropterae, but only one female is known to be macropterae. The body color of it is reddish brown and unique in the congeners from Japan. It was collected from the trunk of a fallen deciduous Quercus tree. Fungus-feeder.
